City Cautiously Raises Alert Level Ahead of Weekend Storm

Rain is once again in the forecast and city officials have raised the Colby Alert Status to yellow.

The National Weather Service predicts rain arriving by tonight. A 60 to 70 percent chance for rain is in the forecast for Glendora through Monday night along with mild to moderate winds as well.

A yellow status means:

  • No evacuation orders in effect.
  • Rain-related parking restrictions in effect.
  • Residents directed to remove vehicles, trash bins and other obstructions from streets and/or travel lanes as they will be subject to tow or removal by authorities.
  • No restricted entry to impact area/potentially impacted areas.

There is a slight chance of showers Tuesday morning, but the day is expected to be mostly sunny.

Due to low snow levels, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has elected to close Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road starting at 4 p.m. today and is expected to reopen Monday.
