Glendora is still not out of the woods as more rain is expected to hit the area today and later tonight.
A 60 percent chance of showers is likely, bringing with it the possibility of a thunderstorm during the day. Much of the same is expected for tonight. The thunderstorms could bring with them brief and heavy rainfall, according to the National Weather Service.
The storms that have already blanketed Glendora did not produce hourly rainfall rates high enough to potentially trigger mudslides, but the city remains cautious with the approaching rains.
“Santa Monica Airport received 2.61 inches yesterday while 7 miles away LAX received only .26 of an inch. This shows how unstable this storm is,” said Glendora Police through a Facebook message.
Glendora will remain on a yellow alert.
Tuesday will bring mostly sunny skies, with a daytime temperature of around 62 degrees. The rest of the week is expected to be partly cloudy.
