A 16-year-old driver somehow struck a light pole this afternoon, causing a power outage for area customers.
The non-injury collision occurred at 3:57 p.m. in the 300 block of West Juanita Avenue. For unspecified reasons, the driver slammed into the pole and caused power loss for an estimated 140 customers, said Lt. Scott Strong of Glendora Police.
The teen driver was issued a citation.
Crews with Southern California Edison are working to restore power.
