A young female adult was struck by a car earlier Thursday morning on Sierra Madre Avenue.
The female was struck by a car traveling west on Sierra Madre at Barranca avenues and received unspecified injuries. The female was transported to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital where she was flown by copter to County/USC hospital.
Glendora Police initially responded to the call at 6:30 a.m. with California Highway Patrol following soon after. The collision occurred on the county portion of the road which is patrolled by CHP, said Lt. Rob Lamborghini of Glendora Police.
Glendora Police assisted with traffic control while paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department prepped the pedestrian for transport.
The CHP was unavailable for comment.
