City crews spent a few hours early Sunday removing a large oak tree that likely succumbed to the rain softened ground.
The tree fell after 4 a.m. across Grand Avenue near Palm Drive. Glendora Police officers performed traffic control while workers cut the tree and moved it to the side of the road, said Sgt. Mike Henderson of Glendora Police.
No damage was caused by the tree, Henderson said.
Glendora resident Phil Doudar reported via Twitter that 20 homes were inaccessible due to the amount of debris across the street.
The road was cleared by about 8 a.m., Henderson said.
