Edison crews are working to restore power to 50 customers after an outage caused thousands to lose electricity Thursday morning.
Overhead equipment issues caused 2,449 customers to lose power starting at 7:46 a.m. Power to all but the 50 remaining customers was restored by 11 a.m., said Lauren Bartlett, Spokeswoman for Southern California Edison.
The outage originally encompassed a wide area, from Ghent Street on the north, West Tudor Street on the south, South Huntington Avenue on the east and North Grand Avenue on the west, Bartlett said.
Service is expected to be restored by 2:30 p.m., Bartlett said.
