PASADENA: One Killed In Five-Vehicle Crash, Gold Line Impacted

At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound Interstate 210 freeway Friday afternoon.

The crash involving a box truck and several other civilian vehicles is impacting Gold Line Foothill Extension rail lines. This reporter was on a westbound train that terminated at the Sierra Madre Villa station where service to Azusa is being cut off.

Shuttle service for stranded Gold Line riders is being called, according to an announcement made by The Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

First responders are searching through a totaled vehicle in the crash to ensure there are no other victims, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.

The eastbound HOV, No. 1 and 2 lanes will be blocked for two hours near the Sierra Madre Villa Station, according the the California Highway Patrol.
