Glendora Welfare Association

Born out of the need to help Glendorans, the Glendora Welfare Association was created in 1958 as a one-time emergency service entity for residents of Glendora.  Help could look like rental assistance, gift cards for food, assistance with utility payments, gas cards and in addition, referral information to other services that are available throughout the community.

If you are a resident of the City of Glendora and need our services, you can contact us at 626-857-1181.  Services are caring, personal and confidential.

If you are not in need of our services, there are several ways that you can support us. The Glendora Welfare Association is very fortunate to have a partnership with the second-hand store, “New Unto Others” located at 167 N. Vermont in Glendora.  When folks donate their items to New Unto Others and mark their bags and boxed donations with the number 67, the Glendora Welfare Association receives a portion of the sales from the items sold.  It’s a win for GWA and for the donor who still receives a tax receipt.

In the spring, the Glendora Welfare Association holds an annual fundraiser at the Rubel Castle to ensure the organization can continue to help Glendorans in need by raising funds with a night of dinner, music, and live and silent auctions.  Look for press relating to our fundraiser in 2021.

The Glendora Welfare Association is an IRS recognized 501 © 3 organization that relies on donors that include local businesses, churches, service organizations and private citizens.
