VISITING ANGELS GLENDORA CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF SERVING SENIORS

On February 25th, 2022, Visiting Angels Glendora, celebrates its 20th anniversary. Located in the heart of Glendora, near the downtown village, Visiting Angels has faithfully and compassionately served thousands of families in the surrounding communities for 20 years. With humble beginnings in a garage near Foothill Presbyterian Hospital, Visiting Angels Glendora has grown to be one of the largest senior home care providers in San Gabriel Valley.

Visiting Angels Glendora was founded by Lindsey Rehfeld in 2002 to address an unmet need in the community—a need for seniors to receive care in the comfort of their own homes. In 2019, Andrew Dilwicius retired from a 20 career with CarMax, and he transitioned into the leadership role with the support of Lindsey and her team. With a passion for our community, Andrew continues Visiting Angels’ traditions of excellence and service.

“I want to invest in our seniors who have given so much by keeping them at home during the most vulnerable season of life,” said Andrew. “In doing this, we get to create atmospheres of love, safety, and security for not just the senior, but for the whole family.”

When asked what he looks forward to in the next 20 years, Andrew said, “We want to provide the opportunity for more seniors to stay in their home, to thrive, and remain safe while providing great jobs for caregivers in our community. Our caregivers are essential as the next generation begins to age, and they need a helping hand. I also want to give back to our community, continuing the legacy of community support established by so many amazing seniors in our area.”

Visiting Angels provides non-medical, in-home care for elderly and disabled people in their homes, ranging from meal preparation and housekeeping to errands and appointments. The Glendora franchised office serves the Foothill communities from Monrovia to La Verne.
