Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 13 when Glendora will host the 1st Annual Heritage Day Picnic.
The event will take place at Centennial Heritage Park, 701 E. Mauna Loa Ave., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
There will be plenty of activities for attendees to try that are a part of Glendora’s history, including panning for gold and hay jump and history lessons about the lives of the Native American Gabrielino tribe.
The Hamilton House, originally built in the 1880s by city founder George Whitcomb, and Orton Englehart workshop, where its namesake developed the famed Rain Bird sprinklers, will be open for tours.
Children can also enjoy a petting zoo and pony rides.
Music and a barbecue will also be provided.
The Heritage Day Picnic is organized by the Community Services Department and the Glendora Preservation Foundation.
