After a mild spring, the heat is roaring back Friday and into Saturday.
The daytime high for Friday is expected to reach 97 degrees in Glendora. Light and variable winds will come from the southwest at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Gusts could reach 20 miles per hour.
Saturday is also expected to be sunny and hot with the high reaching 97 degrees and will be just as windy.
With the heat comes an elevated fire danger for inland areas through Saturday.
Highs for the LA and Ventura areas are expected to be between 88 to 100 degrees. Mountain areas are expected to be between 83 to 102 degrees. Humidity levels are expected to be in the single digits for inland areas.
