The city has announced a deadline extension for applications to serve on various city entities and encourages residents to apply.
The deadline to apply has been extended to Friday, May 29 at 5 p.m.
There are a variety of vacancies throughout the Business Improvement District Advisory Board, the Investment Advisory Committee and the Glendora Planning Commission:
Business Improvement District Advisory Board
Three vacancies, office numbers 1, 2 and 3; each are three-year terms. The BID Advisory Board discusses activities and financial functions of the Business Improvement District, serving as a go-between with the Village businesses and the City Council and Planning Director. The Advisory Board meets on the first Thursday of the month at 8:30 a.m.
Investment Advisory Committee
Two vacancies, office numbers 3 and 4; both three year terms. The committee provides economic insight for the City Treasurer and also reviews Glendora’s investment portfolio and financial policies. Meetings occur on a quarterly basis.
Planning Commission
There are two vacancies, office numbers two and three; both four-year terms. The commission reviews land-use policy and shapes development throughout the city by providing guidance for the City Council in the decision-making process. The Commission meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
Each of the above vacancies are set to begin June 30.
