PREVIOUS: Two brazen burglars broke into three businesses by smashing through the front entrances Friday morning.
At 2:53 a.m., Glendora Police responded to an alarm call at Frozen Ropes, 2244 East Route 66. Upon arrival, officers found that the front entrance to Frozen Ropes was smashed through and that two other neighboring businesses had experienced the same fate.
Mauricio’s Mexican Food and A&J Cake and Candy Supplies, both next to Frozen Ropes, had their front doors smashed in to gain entry, police said.
The owner of A&J told GCN the burglar took roughly $400 from cash boxes, which were smashed open with a getaway vehicle to the rear of the business.
Losses, other than the damaged doors at Frozen Ropes and Mauricio’s, were not yet known.
Video surveillance provided by Frozen Ropes showed two suspects entering the business with masks and gloves.
Lt. Rob Lamborghini of Glendora Police believes the suspects are two male Blacks.
Frozen Ropes owner Deron Marquez shared the surveillance footage, hoping it brings awareness to the community and may provide any help in identifying the suspects.
