A worker was injured at a construction Thursday afternoon when he fell off the scaffolding he was working on.
The injury occurred around 12:10 p.m. in the area of Sierra Madre Avenue and Hicrest Road. Work was being done on a water tank. The worker was on a scaffolding inside the water tank when he fell 30 feet below, said a representative from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived soon after and transported the injured worker to Foothill Presbyterian Hospital to a waiting helicopter where the worker was airlifted to County/USC Medical Center.
The extent of injuries was not immediately known.
Glendora Police are investigating the accident.
