A transient decided to moon motorists on Saturday and eventually wound up behind bars.

For unknown reasons, the subject pulled down his pants and mooned passing motorists in the 300 block of West Route 66 around 10:55 a.m. One of those motorists happened to be an on-duty Glendora Police Community Service Officer who radioed for officers, said Sgt. Mike Henderson of Glendora Police.

Officers took the subject into custody after he reportedly admitted to the act, Henderson said.

Arrested was 34-year-old transient Clifford Wingo, who was booked on suspicion of soliciting a lewd act. Wingo was additionally booked on a warrant and was eventually transferred to the Inmate Reception Center in Los Angeles.

County booking information for Wingo was not available.
