UPDATED: Glendora Police have investigated, identified and questioned one of the individuals in the video. Apparently the men in the video had ties to the previous tenant in the home and were not aware the person no longer lived at the home. At this point, there is no evidence that these individuals were attempting to burglarize the home.
PREVIOUS: A resident found and filmed three potential burglars in his backyard on Monday afternoon.
A resident named Josh, who lives in the 2200 block of Country Club Dr, was home on Monday afternoon when he heard noises from the backyard. After noticing three men in his yard, he started filming on his cell phone.
The men were casually talking and going through items that were in the yard and on tables.
In the video you can see the resident decided to try and scare them off by knocking at the window, announcing his presence. It worked and the suspects left right after.
If they were in a vehicle, the resident did not have a vehicle description however, because he remained in the house while he called 911. The suspects exited to the front of the house through the side yard and were gone within a few moments.
Since he scared off the suspects before they had a chance to enter the home, it was simply a trespassing report. The suspects may have taken some medication that was in a bag on the patio.
GPD confirmed to GCN that a report was taken and according to Lt. Scott Strong it was obvious they intended to burglarize the home.
