Stanton Elementary School will hold a spring boutique Saturday to raise funds to immortalize a woman who left her mark on Glendora Unified.

The spring boutique to honor Ruth Fagerstrom will be held Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stanton Elementary, 725 S. Vecino Ave. Admission is free.
Fagerstrom, 73, died December 1, 2015.
A native of Wisconsin, Fagerstrom moved to Glendora in the mid-60s. She taught at Foothill Christian School and later with Glendora Unified, where she would teach for 46 years.
Fagerstrom, a 1993 Glendora Teacher of the Year, was known not only for her passion in tutoring math and reading students, but in her work with the California Teachers Association, helping to improve conditions for her fellow teachers.
