The Glendora Education Foundation has just announced celebrity performance artist Michael Israel will be featured at the 10thannual Food for Thought.
Israel is a humanitarian and performance artist, world-renowned for his live-action paintings that have raised millions for charity.
His artwork is found throughout the world, in the collections of galleries, museums, major corporations, political figures, and celebrities.
To see Israel create one of his masterpieces is referred to as “Cirque du Sole Meets Picasso”, as he combines the anticipation of live art with the thrill of a rock concert. Israel’s background as a black belt has trained him for the physical demands of speed painting, which he does with the finesse of a dancing athlete.
The spectrum of intense music, a spinning canvas, and flying paintbrushes is so thrilling, and the artwork so stunning, audiences leap to their feet. Israel’s special performance is part of the Foundation’s Food for Thought 10th anniversary celebration.
Food for Thought is a fundraising gala held by the Glendora Education Foundation, a nonprofit that works for the benefit of students of the Glendora Unified School District.
This year’s event, which is anticipated to be a sell-out, is being held on Friday, April 28th. Tickets are still available at www.GlendoraEdFoundation.org/FFT17
