Police officers are trying to figure out who placed three Christmas trees on the running track of Goddard Middle School and set them on fire.
Officers were dispatched to the school, 859 E. Sierra Madre Ave., at 11:16 p.m. to assist Los Angeles County Fire fighters with the burning trees, according to the police department’s Live Calls webpage.
An unknown subject, or subjects, placed the Christmas Trees on the track and lit them on fire.
The trees had already stopped burning by the time police and fire fighters arrived, said Lt. Scott Strong of Glendora Police. Authorities do not have any descriptions of possible suspects.
Nothing was reported damaged, Strong said.
