A pizza delivery man on the job got into an altercation with a customer over an extended delivery time and allegedly stabbed him, Covina Police said.
Michael Parker, 31, from Glendora, was located at the Domino’s Pizza where he worked and was arrested around 12:50 a.m. January 3, a little over an hour after the alleged stabbing took place. He was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, eventually posting $30,000 bail.
Covina Police responded at 11:35 p.m. to a residence in the 600 block of North Mangrove on a reported stabbing January 2. Police learned the 20-year-old resident became angry with Parker over a delay in the pizza’s delivery, authorities said in a written statement.
Parker allegedly stabbed the resident in the wrist and in the neck. The victim was treated by Los Angeles County Firefighters and was transported to an area hospital for non life-threatening injuries, police said.
Parker is scheduled to appear at the West Covina Courthouse March 21.
