Although not in Glendora, Naugles is officially opening a concession stand, it’s first since the 1988 Del Taco merger. It will be located on the city beach boardwalk across from the Waterfront Hilton, previously a Wahoo’s Fish Taco stand.
Still near and dear to many life long residents of Glendora who frequented the chain, this reopening represents a return to the past. We had first reported on this last year when the test kitchen was up and running in Fountain Valley.
Limited in menu and hours, the pop up test kitchen typically saw well over hour-long lines and frequently ran out of food. The first re-launched restaurant will be open 7 days a week for summer and is set to open this Memorial Day weekend, according to an Orange County Register story.
The new location is located at 21351 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, Ca. 92648
A food blogger named Christian Ziebarth has batteled Del Taco in court since 2010 over the trademark rights, claiming that the branding and rights had been abandoned years earlier. In April of last year Ziebarth was victorious, as a federal panel sided with him.
Their menu includes the classics such as the beef and cheese burrito, bean and beef cups, taco salad cup and their famous hot sauce.
