A 24-year-old Glendora resident and 25-year-old Chino Hills woman were struck and killed by another driver on the Interstate 210 freeway Sunday morning.
Jonathan Bland of Glendora and Erin Donnelly of Chino Hills were killed after being struck near the eastbound carpool lane of the 210 freeway between Baseline Road and Benson Avenue in Upland. Paramedics with the Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department arrived on scene and declared the two deceased.
The collision occurred around 3:03 a.m. on the eastbound side of the 210 freeway, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
Bland and Donnelly were stopped in their vehicles in the emergency lane adjacent to the carpool lane. The two had wandered out into the carpool lane where they were struck, Coroner’s officials said.
The deaths were confirmed at 3:15 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
