A residential fire broke out Monday afternoon shortly after 1pm in the 300 block of North Washington Ave.
Upon arriving on scene, GCN spoke to a Captain with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
They are requesting an investigator with LACFD to the scene, but the fire is out.
It appears that the fire started in the garage which became fully engulfed, including a car that was inside the garage. Although the detached garage is connected by a roof, there is a breezeway between the garage and the main house.
Firefighters were able to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to the main house, with the exception of what looks to be some smoke damage.
There were no injuries and anyone in the home, was able to get out unharmed according to the LACFD Captain.
