Veterans Day Services in Glendora

Veterans Day Services at the Glendora Military Memorial today showed a terrific outpouring of respect and remembrance by those who attended. Over 100 people showed up to hear the speakers, which included representatives from American Legion Unit 475, Project Glendora Yellow Ribbon, Glendora Police Department, local firefighters as well as City Council members Karen Davis and Joe Santoro.

Each speaker gave us a reminder of the sacrifice that Veterans have made and continue to make. One by one, each Veteran in attendance was personally introduced and given a chance to announce their years and branch of service. At points during the ceremony it became very emotional as the crowd applauded each Veteran. The crowd was welcomed to join in the Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem and all who were there did indeed take the opportunity.

We at Glendora City News solute our Veterans, near and far, gone but not forgotten and those still watching over our great Nation. Thank you!
