Alleged DUI Driver Booked on Felony Charges After Crash

A Claremont man is sitting in the Glendora jail after causing an injury collision at Grand Avenue and Baseline Road early Sunday.

One occupant in the victim vehicle possibly suffered broken ribs in the crash, which was reported at 1:09 a.m. The alleged DUI driver in the suspect vehicle was arrested at the scene, police said.

The suspect was traveling southbound on Grand Avenue, then entered the intersection against a red light and collided with the victim vehicle which was traveling eastbound on Baseline Road, said Sgt. Mike Henderson of Glendora Police.

It was not immediately known how many people occupied both vehicles involved.

Peter Sang Won Yoo, 36, from Claremont, was booked on felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs resulting in bodily injury. Bail has been set at $100,000.
