The Glendora Public Library and the Glendora Historical Society will host a program to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Citrus College.
“Citrus College: A Century of Academic Achievement” takes place tonight, May 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Bidwell Forum of the Glendora Public Library.
The program is free to attend. No reservations are required.
Attendees will learn more about the college’s history, what is going on right now with the campus and how Citrus is preparing graduates for the workforce.
Citrus College was founded in 1915 by Floyd S. Hayden on the site of former Citrus Union High School. Citrus is the oldest community college in Los Angeles County and the fifth oldest in California.
The night will start with the Citrus College centennial program, followed by the regularly scheduled Glendora Historical Society meeting.
The Bidwell Forum is located on the second floor of the library, 140 S. Glendora Avenue.
