The California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Fighters are on scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the Sunflower Avenue off ramp from the Eastbound Interstate 210 freeway.
The accident was reported just before 3:30 p.m. A Chevy Malibu was involved in the crash, which occurred in the middle lanes of the off ramp, according to CHP traffic logs.
The motorcycle rider sustained injuries, which necessitated a copter transport, according to Robert Diaz, supervising dispatcher for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Diaz stated that the rider is being transported due to the mechanism of the injury, or because the rider sustained trauma.
Fire fighters transported the motorcyclist by ground to Sunflower Alternative Schools where the rider was then taken by helicopter to an area trauma center.
The CHP has the No. 3 and 4 lanes of the eastbound 210 freeway closed for 30 minutes.
