If you have weekend plans that take you west on the Interstate 210 Freeway, you might want to reconsider a new route.
Caltrans will close all westbound lanes of the 210 freeway between Lake Avenue and Mountain Street for 55 hours starting Friday, July 15 at 10 p.m. and is expected to reopen Monday, July 18 at 5 a.m.
Caltrans will be working on a pavement rehabilitation project during the above hours.
The eastbound State Route 134 connector to the westbound 210 will also be closed, along with the Marengo Avenue off ramp, Mountain Street off ramp and the Walnut Street on ramp.
Caltrans plans an identical closure Friday, July 29 at 10 p.m. to Monday, August 1 at 5 a.m.
Caltrans strongly advises drivers to plan ahead, use alternate route and avoid the area or use public transit.
