Three of the six men accused of robbing an AM PM convenience store early Sunday are behind bars and police are searching for the remaining suspects.
The suspects entered the AM PM, 465 W. Foothill Blvd., and took $853 from the register. Nothing else was taken in the robbery and a clerk, the only other person in the store, was uninjured, police said.
The robbery took place around 2:58 a.m. July 31. The suspects entered the convenience store wearing hoods, hats and masks, police said.
While police are still pursuing leads on the remaining suspects, one of those arrested, David Isaac Stephens, 18, from Glendora, was described as an employee of the AM PM, said Lt. James DeMond of Glendora Police’s Investigations Bureau.
How detectives learned Stephens was an employee was not revealed.
Also arrested were 18-year-old Glendora resident Anthony Guillermo Fuentes and 20-year-old Montebello resident Isaiah Almeida.
All three suspects were booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
All three suspects are scheduled for a court appearance at Citrus Municipal Court in West Covina today, August 2.
