Authorities are on scene of a reported head on crash involving a motorcycle on Glendora Ridge Road.
The crash was reported at 1:23 p.m. on GRR near Glendora Mountain Road. A rescue helicopter from the Los Angeles County Fire Department was requested to transport the victim for unspecified injuries, said Inspector Randall Wright of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Initial reports from California Highway Patrol traffic logs indicate a Los Angeles County Fire Department vehicle was involved in the collision two miles east of GMR.
The copter landed on Glendora Ridge Road and both lanes were shut down while fire fighters packaged the victim for transport, according to broadcast traffic.
The U.S. Forest Service was assisting with the incident.
Wright was unable to confirm if a Los Angeles County Fire vehicle was involved and what type of vehicle crashed.
The CHP and deputies from the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station were en route to investigate.
As of 1:55 p.m., fire fighters were packaging 1 patient for transport to an area trauma center.
