UPDATED: 9:43 p.m.: No structures being threatened by the one-quarter acre fire behind St. Lucy’s Priory. Fire fighters are still extinguishing the multiple spot fires on the hillside. Glendora Police are on scene, investigating the possibility this was intentionally set, according to Los Angeles County Fire broadcast traffic.
PREVIOUSLY: A one-quarter acre brush fire has broken out behind St. Lucy’s Priory along Barranca and Sierra Madre avenues.
Several spot fires are reportedly burning uphill in light winds. Los Angeles County Fire fighters are on scene. At least one fire fighting helicopter has been dispatched, while the U.S. Forest Service is en route to assist, according to broadcast traffic.
