An hours-long containment and search by Glendora and Azusa Police turned up empty Tuesday night.
A 45-year-old man was wanted on two outstanding warrants totaling $150,000 for unspecified court order violations. The man was though to be hiding in a residence, but police were unable to locate the subject inside the home.
An officer in the 100 block of North Lowell Avenue observed the suspect pulling into the driveway of a home at 7:32 p.m. The officer attempted to contact the suspect who ignored the officer’s commands to stop and ran into the house, said Lt. Rob Lamborghini of Glendora Police.
With the aid of Azusa officers, Glendora set up a nearly four-hour-long perimeter search for the man, who may have escaped from the back yard of the residence. Police later entered the home a performed a thorough search, but the subject was not located, Lamborghini said.
Containment ended a little after 11:00 p.m.
Police did arrest a 16-year-old male on undisclosed charges. That teenager was eventually issued a citation and released to a guardian
The suspect is described as being six feet tall and 180 pounds. No further description was immediately available.
