The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad is en route to investigate a reported grenade sitting near a bus bench near Arrow Highway at Lyman Avenue.
Deputies were dispatched to the possible grenade just before 7 a.m. Arrow Highway is shut down from Bonnie Cove Avenue to Sunflower Avenue. A few businesses have also been evacuated as a precaution.
A passerby told authorities about the object. Another passerby said the object could be a toy grenade, said Lt. Andy Berg of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station.
“We’re treating it as real. We’ve done some very minor initial evacuations and shut down traffic,” Berg said.
The Los Angels County Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad is en route, Berg said.
