While most of the Glendora Marketplace remained dormant Thursday morning, a group of shoppers eagerly waited for deals outside Best Buy.
Roughly 20 shoppers camped outside the electronics store, 1307 E. Gladstone St., some since Monday, awaiting deals on a variety of deals.
Pomona resident Gabriel Lara is second in line and has been camping outside Best Buy since Tuesday morning. Along with his younger brother, he plans on stocking up on gifts for friends and family.
“This is my second year camping out here. To me the deals are not that spectacular. It’s about hanging out with these people, because the stuff that I’m here for is not for me. Most of it is for my family,” Lara said.
Lara plans on purchasing three 49-inch flatscreen televisions as gifts and will buy an Apple laptop for himself along with an Asus laptop.
The store will open at 5 p.m. for Black Friday shoppers.
