The Glendora man who shot three times at his unknown quarry in a Von’s parking lot made a second appearance in court Wednesday.
Clayton Addleman, 24, pleaded not guilty to the 12 counts against him, which included attempted, willful, deliberate and premeditated murder, in addition to other alleged crimes committed on the day of his arrest December 29, said Sarah Ardalani, Public Information Officer for the Los Angeles County District Attorney Office.
In addition to count one, prosecutors brought before Addleman one count of first degree robbery, two counts of first degree residential robbery, one count of first degree burglary, one count of grand theft of an automobile, one count of grand theft of personal property, one count of identity theft, one count of forgery relating to identity theft, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, one count of possession of ammunition and one count of petty theft, according to the felony complaint.
On the attempted murder charge alone, Addleman could face life in prison.
Glendora Police sought Addleman after they discovered he was the alleged gunman in the December 27 shooting in the Vons parking lot, 431 E. Arrow Hwy. Glendora investigators were told that the intended victim and Addleman did not know each other.
Addleman was found and arrested two days later in Azusa near Chase Bank, 1188 E. Alosta Ave.
Addleman is scheduled to appear for a pre-preliminary hearing at the Pomona Courthouse February 1, Ardalani said.
