Authorities with the Air Quality Management District have issued a No-Burn Alert Thursday morning.
The alert affects the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding communities for December 10.
No-burn alerts are issued in an effort to improve the quality of the wintertime air by asking residents to not use wood-burning fireplaces with unhealthful air in the forecast from November 1 to the end of February.
Residents should also refrain from burning all solid-fuels, including manufactured wax/sawdust logs, pellet fuels, corn, coal and more.
No-Burn alerts are issued for a 24-hour period.
