Police are investigating a series of crimes Friday in which two men reportedly stole various belongings from at least 14 unlocked vehicles.
The petty thefts occurred within a small distance from each other in the early morning hours in neighborhoods surrounding Sunflower Avenue and Gladstone Street and on Gladstone from Sunflower to Bonnie Cove.
The thefts were reported between midnight and 3:31 a.m.
The suspects likely walked along the neighborhoods and tested the door handles to see if vehicles were unlocked, said Lt. Matt Egan of Glendora Police.
Exactly what was taken from each vehicle is not immediately known.
“One person reported seeing two suspicious people walking in the neighborhood. When we got there, we found one car with its door ajar,” Egan said. “Other officers arrived in the area and started checking for the suspects and that’s when we started finding other cars with doors ajar and lights on.”
There was no evidence of forced entry into the vehicles, said Lt. Rob Lamborghini.
The two suspicious men were seen wearing black hoodies.
