Firefighters have transported a motorcyclist badly injured in a collision with a silver Pathfinder Sunday evening.
The male rider was airlifted by helicopter from Foothill Presbyterian Hospital to an area trauma center for treatment, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department radio traffic.
Firefighters were dispatched at 5:18 p.m. to the crash, which occurred on westbound Foothill Boulevard at Galanto Avenue.
According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle was westbound Foothill when the collision occurred.
It is not immediately clear how the two vehicles collided.
The rider reportedly lives near where the crash happened, an eyewitness said. He appeared to be an older male.
The driver of the Pathfinder remained on scene.
No further information is available.
