A Glendora man was arrested Tuesday morning, accused of stealing a laptop computer from the neighborhood he lived in.

Glendora detectives arrested 20-year-old James Serrano, a resident of Glendora May 19.

Serrano is accused of stealing the computer from a parked vehicle in the 1300 block of Elmgove. The vehicle had its windows partially rolled down, allowing Serrano to reach in and take the laptop computer, said Lt. Matt Williams of Glendora Police.

Serrano was arrested Tuesday after Glendora detectives received information that he was in possession of the laptop. Detectives then contacted the suspect at his residence where he was eventually arrested, Williams said.

The laptop was recovered, Williams said.

Serrano was booked on suspicion of burglary, receiving known stolen property and grand theft. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail in the Glendora jail.

Serrano is scheduled for an appearance in the West Covina Courthouse May 21, according to county booking records.
